Day One

Be taken on a guided tour of Ngawi with its famed fleet of bulldozers used to launch boats, Cape Palliser with the iconic 1897 lighthouse (253 steps) for breathtaking, panoramic views of the coast, and the Fur Seal Colony that are the North Island’s largest breeding colony of fur seals resting on the rocks.

Have lunch at The Village Café & Bar, Martinborough and wander around Martinborough shops.

Visit Cobblestones Early Settler Museum and have a tasting at Schoc Chocolates. Have dinner at Greytown Hotel 1860 restaurant.  Stay at Greyfriars Motel.

Day Two

You will be taken to Stonehenge Aotearoa, one of the largest astronomical installations in New Zealand. It’s an open-sky observatory inspired by and built on a similar scale to the famous Stonehenge in England. The henge is a modern adaptation, inspired by the many stone circles and henges scattered around the world. 

Then visit the Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre have lunch at its Kākā Café and then see kiwi, feed eels, enjoy a bush walk, and see native species. Conservation in action!

Dinner at Aperitif Wine Bar.  Stay at Greyfriars Motel.

Inclusions

All transport from Greytown. Room with continental breakfasts, lunches and dinners with one beverage (wine, beer, juice or soft drink) included and additional drink purchases after that.  All rooms are studios are either Queen, King or Twin Beds.  Share Twin and Trio (King + 2 Single Beds) are limited.
